This set strongly indicates the assignment of paintings to records, here, and substantiates the assignment of George Curnow Hockin's portrait (also by J. Edgar Williams, 1871) which was not given to me in this same set.

This set came to the Hockins via the LaTouche family.

On the back is written "The Rev William Hockin of Phillack, Father of the Rev Canon Frederick Hockin"
